Who are the Characters?
There are multiple main protagonists who can be seen as Aragorn was a ranger of the North, Frodo who is a hobbit of the shire, Sam who is the sidekick of Frodo, Gandalf the wizard is the leader of the fellowship, Legolas whos a master of the bow, Gimli whos a dwarf, Sauron who is the main antagonist, and Gollum who was corrupted by the Ring.
What is the plot?
The rest of the world’s fate lays within the Ring that has been lost for many centuries. Dark forces are relentless in their search for the one Ring. The Rings' fate lays in Frodo Baggins's hands who inherits the Ring from Bilbo. A forbidding task is given to Frodo when he becomes the ringbearer, to take the ring to Mount Doom where it was forged.
When was the series released?
The Lord of the Rings series was released on July 29, 1954, and is widely considered one of the greatest series to ever be created. The first book in the series, Fellowship of the Ring, in which Frodo becomes the ringbearer and is given the daunting task of bringing it to Mount Doom, the second book in the series, The Two Towers, follows the quest to destroy the one ring where they discover they’re being followed and the final book in the series, The Return of the King, where Lord Sauron attacks Gondor.
Where are the characters going?
The journey first begins in the Shire where the four hobbits begin to start their journey through the Old Forest to Mount Doom. Characters such as Gandalf, Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli, and Boromir tend to join the fellowship throughout the story at different moments.
Why do they need to go on a journey?
The fellowship needs to go on the journey to Mount Doom in order to destroy the Ring. The Ring is supposed to be worn by someone without power or a sense of ambition. As the Ring would corrupt Frodo’s mind just as it did to Sauron which is why they need to destroy the one Ring.
