During the light of day, all lakes that are big or small provide a peaceful and beautiful piece of scenery. The frogs at the water's edge, minnows surfacing for air, and the birds diving into the depths. The water was still as a deadly drink waiting to be consumed, reflecting the trees and sky off the water’s surface.
After the sun falls behind the horizon, darkness blooms and awaits you with dread and fear. As I was paddling amongst the shore looking for the pair of sunglasses I dropped using a flashlight, something nudged the back of my canoe. This animal was as weak as a mosquito. Next thing you know a massive bull shark smashed the side of my canoe; cracking it in half. I swam to the shore as fast as a gazelle running from a cheetah.
I shouted for help but no one was there except for the man in the bell tower, who was listening to the radio and smoking a cigar. I kept on yelling but he wouldn’t respond. Crawling onto the shore the shark bit my foot as I kicked its snout he dragged me in. Fending for my life, swimming hard, and doing everything I could to live until finally, the bell tower man named Johnny shot the shark with his 12-gauge shotgun; taking my leg with it.
